The Battle for Harmony Part 1: Return of Discord

The princess called them at the hour
When the world was turning sour;
Chocolate rain and candy clouds
Marked  Discord’s return to power.

Across the land, the six made haste
The trail of chaos that they chased,
Led them to Celestia’s door,
As their land was laid to waste.

“Come young ones, I ask of thee,
Use the elements of harmony.
I cannot, for I’ve not the power,
To end all Discord’s treachery.”

To her surprise the box was bare,
The elements, no longer there,
Then came a laugh so full of sin
That chilled the bones of every mare.

In the window, Discord smiled,
As he made the world go wild
Mocking the princess, and the six
Laughing like a jubilant child

“I’ve hid your elements on you
I’m here to take what I am due;
A world of harmony no more
Chaos will fill the world anew.

Twists and turns are my evil plan
If you wish to see them again
Be my guest and go seek them out
And find them where you all began.”

The princess bowed her weary head
Discord’s return filled her with dread.
Where were the precious elements?
“The castle labyrinth!” Twilight said.
